2018 Incident #31: 27th May 20:17 – Tower Wood
Team called by NWAS. A group member staying at Tower Wood had taken a fall. Several team members were able to go direct to assist. With NWAS also in attendance we were able to stand down M1 en route. Continue Reading
2018 Incident #30: 25th May 18:05 – Lamb Howe
Team called by NWAS. A walker had taken ill whilst out in the Lamb Howe Plantation area. After locating and treating the casualty we then had a small stretcher carry to an awaiting land ambulance. Continue Reading
2018 Incident #29: 7th May 13:15 – Ankle Injury, Kentmere
Team called by Cumbria Police. A walker had taken a slip whilst walking along Kentmere Pike. The casualty was unable to bear weight on the lower leg injury. With some team members away for the weekend we were grateful for the assistance of Langdale & Ambleside MRT in bringing the casualty down. Continue Reading

2018 Incident #27: 2nd May 04:00 – Missing Fell Runner, Central Lakes
The team was paged by Keswick MRT, requesting assistance with an ongoing search of the central fells for a missing fell runner, resuming at first light. Team called by Cumbria Police. A mountain biker had taken a fall along one of the tracks at Farleton Knott. Team members and paramedics treated the casualty for head and upper body injuries before transferring to Helimed 08 Continue Reading

Sometimes you have an accident, only to discover that you are surrounded by dogs and people in red jackets!
