Team called by Cumbria Police. A fell walker had slipped whilst enjoying a walk near Grey Crag on Sleddale Fell. He had sustained a knee injury and was unable to continue. Team ascended via Sadgill and the casualty was soon found. It was decided that the best way down would be to head towards the Outdoor Pursuit Centre at Stockdale. We then transferred the casualty to a land ambulance. This rescue was made easier by the fact that the gentleman could give us an accurate grid reference.
