The weekend proved to be both rewarding and emotional for past, present and future members of Kendal MRT. On Saturday night we took potential team volunteers on a night time navigational training exercise around Kentmere reservoir which ended with a BBQ and chat around the fire pit at Kentmere Cottages.
In the morning we left the cottages and met past team members at Ravens Crag for the dedication of the Rowan tree planted in memory of team member Rod who sadly passed away this year. It was also pleasing to see his friends from his many other pursuits attending. Stories of Rod’s time with KMSRT ensured we left with smiles on our faces and many fond memories.
